-silterra is one of malaysia home grown asset.the rakyat want it to be owned by malaysian bumi. post vote budget also showed thin winning.if it falls to foreign hands, exposure towards changing new government is high

-losing silterra means exiting e & e industry and malaysia wont have this biz ever dream. thats mean its going to be dnex and greenpacket. however green packet stirred in complication due to litigation and their bumi status structure on acquisition silterra questionable.proposal provide by green packet also not strong as dnex.providing hub and exposing new network???focus business wafer foundry alone pon already enough. foxconn also pay high to enter into wafer foundry biz

wkc5657 the industry silterra is in requires constant capital upgrades, has been loss making since beginning till now, cannot create momentum among clients with better products/margins, don't expect dnex can do a time engineering on this....
malaysia is way behind the curve when it comes to such semiconductor wafer pure play.
really better to just let someone who has real capacity and capability to fully utilise and hopefully upgrade the equipment while keeping the operations running locally....at least local supporting industries can benefit more than current situation of silterra...
