KUALA LUMPUR: Precision component producer Notion VTEC Bhd is planning to start producing parts for medical ventilators and personal protective equipment (PPE).
This is addition to its current core activity of making precision machined components.
Notion Vtec, in a filing with with Bursa Malaysia today, said it has placed orders for production machineries and is in the midst of applying approvals from relevant authorities for the venture into the business of making, marketing and selling of PPE.
"Subject to the approval being obtained from all the relevant authorities, the production is expected to be commenced by end of May 2020 in the company’s main factory,"it said.
"The products will then be sold in local markets."
