KUALA LUMPUR (April 16): Sasbadi Sdn Bhd (SSB), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sasbadi Holdings Bhd, has received a letter of acceptance (LOA) from the Ministry of Education to publish, print and supply textbooks to all national schools in the country.
In a filing to Bursa Malaysia today, Sasbadi said it received the LOA dated April 15, appointing SSB to publish, print and supply textbooks for the literature component for the Bahasa Malaysia subject for Form 5 (KOMSAS BM Textbook for Form 5) to all national schools.
"The contract is for the period from April 15, 2015, to December 31, 2017, at a total value of RM2.3 million," it said.
Sasbadi (fundamental: N/A; valuation: N/A) said the contract will not have any material effect on the earnings and net assets of the group for the financial year ending Aug 31, 2015 (FY15), as it is expected to deliver the first tranche of the textbooks worth approximately RM1.95 million to the schools in the first quarter of 2016.
It noted the contract is only expected to contribute positively to the earnings and net assets of the group for FY16 onwards, during the duration of contract.
Sasbadi was listed in July last year.
Shares of Sasbadi closed higher 4 sen or 1.95% at RM2.09 today, for a market capitalisation of RM260.35 million.
