PRIVA (0123) : Privasia clarifies that RM31.5 million contracts came from two jobs
KUALA LUMPUR (Dec 2): Privasia Technolgy Bhd has clarified that the RM31.5 million worth contracts it recently clinched consists of two jobs - one is a RM26.7 million contract awarded by Jabatan Ukur dan Pemetaan Negeri (JUPEM) and the other is a RM4.8 million job from Kuantan Port Consortium Sdn Bhd.
On the RM26.7 million contract, the group said it received a letter of award from JUPEM on May 20 to provide remedial and preventive maintenance works for 'eKadaster' System covering 13 JUPEM departments nationwide. The duration of the contract is 24 months.
"The letters of award is expected to contribute positively to the revenue and earnings of the company for the financial years ending Dec 31, 2015 (FY15) and FY16," Privasia said in a filing to Bursa Malaysia this evening.
As for the RM4.8 million job, Privasia had on Sept 5 announced that it was awarded two contracts from Kuantan Port to supply, install, configure and commission the Kuantan Port Management System, which consist of a Multipurpose Terminal Operating System (MTOS) and a Container Terminal Operation System (CTOS). The delivery and maintenance of the project is expected to run over three years.
The clarification today was in response to a recent media report on Monday, which said that the group had recently secured RM31.5 million worth of contracts that would help grow its revenue in the coming years.
Privasia, an information technology and business process outsourcing services provider, was listed as one of The Edge Research's "Stocks with momentum" on Nov 25. It was given a score of 1.4 out of 3 on fundamentals and 0.6 out of 3 in terms of valuation attractiveness.
Privasia shares have appreciated 52.38% from 10.5 sen on Oct 23 to close at 16 sen today, giving it a market capitalisation of RM89.3 million.
