Padiberas Nasional Bhd (Bernas) has seen its major shareholder Wang Tak Co Ltd yet again increasing its stake in the sole custodian of rice distribution in the country.
Filing to Bursa yesterday showed that the Hong Kong-based Wang Tak acquired another 1.83 million Bernas shares between April 1 and April 7, bringing its total shareholding to 25.44% comprising 119.66 million shares.
Meanwhile, Gamuda Bhd’s shareholder FMR LLC & FIL Ltd disposed of some one million shares in the company on April 2. Filing to Bursa yesterday showed that FMR now owned an 11.06% interest or 221.53 million shares in Gamuda.
Khazanah Nasional Bhd mopped up 2.4 million shares in UEM World Bhd in the open market on April 2 and April 3. According to a filing to Bursa yesterday, Khazanah now has an indirect interest of 58.13% or 806.87 million shares in UEM World.
