T7Global's share price continue to be strong, bucking the regional trend. The strong support could be due to CSEC being in town, with a convoy to visit Exchange 106, Bandar Malaysia's signature tower.
Strong rumours is sspreading that T7-CSEC joint venture is close to signing a potential Bandar Malaysia or ECRL related contract by this week with CSEC in town.
News: KUALA LUMPUR: The Exchange 106 reflects the good bilateral ties between Malaysia and China, said Chinese Ambassador to Malaysia Bai Tian.
Bai said he is also impressed with the shape of the skyscraper and the approach taken in building it.
The Exchange 106 will become a new landmark in Kuala Lumpur, Bai said during his first visit to the site of the much talked-about project on Monday (Jan 29).
The 106-storey building located in the financial hub of Tun Razak Exchange is due for completion this year.
Bai commended the advanced technology, including virtual technology, used by China Construction Engineering (South-East Asia) Malaysia Sdn Bhd in its construction of the building.
Bai said the site manager informed him that a storey takes about two or three days to be built.
Contractors are also working on the interior of the building in tandem with its exterior, which Bai said is a new approach.
"Normally the contractors come in and build the structure, and then the internal decoration team will come.
"However, they are doing this simultaneously, which helps reduce the duration of the project," he said.
Bai pointed out the many upcoming mega infrastructure projects in Malaysia, and the country was welcoming world-class foreign contractors to undertake such developments.
He said he was not worried when asked if the coming general election would affect Chinese companies operating in Malaysia.
The election would not affect the competitiveness of Chinese companies, which is the reason they are very sought after, he said.
"Chinese corporations are still tapping into the Malaysian market because of high demand (for their services)," he said, adding that they benefit from the trust Malaysians have in Chinese companies.
