For the first quarter ended March 31, 2016, Nestle’s net profit rose 17.46% to RM220.68 million from RM187.88 million, on higher turnover and favourable trends in prices of most raw materials.
Revenue grew 2.34% to RM1.31 billion from RM1.28 billion, due to higher domestic sales and exports.
The stock currently trades at a trailing 12-month price-earnings ratio of 29.86 times and is at 22.1 times its book value. Its trailing 12-month dividend yield is 3.27%.
