In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, Supermax said the publicly-funded NHS covered all hospitals in the UK, consuming about £50mil (RM333.5mil) of medical gloves annually.
“With this license, Supermax will be in a position to capture a share of the lucrative NHS business,” it said.
The company said there would be no immediate significant financial impact in the coming quarters from the award, but going forward, it was expected to contribute positively towards the earnings and net assets of Supermax Group for the 2017-2020 financial years.
Supermax shares gained 13 sen to close at RM2.45 on Thursday, with 25.2 million shares traded.
