The latex glove maker told Bursa Malaysia that the proposed expansion by its unit Comfort Rubber Gloves Industries Sdn Bhd would be completed by the second quarter of its financial year ending Jan 31, 2017.
The expansion involves the construction of a new manufacturing facility, packing and warehousing facility, and laboratory facilities.
It did not say what is the capacity of the new facility or by what percentage the expansion would increase its output.
In its latest annual report released in June, Comfort Gloves said the group had raised its monthly output to 160 million gloves.
“After the completion of our further expansion in Q1 of financial year ending 2016, total output will rise to 200 million pieces per month,” it added.
