KUALA LUMPUR: JF Apex Research expects DRB-Hicom, Astro and British American Tobacco (BAT) to see trading interest on Monday.
It said DRB-Hicom’s units Proton Holdings Bhd and Lotus Group International Ltd (LGIL), teamed up with Goldstar Heavy Industrial Co Ltd of the China to produce and sell LOTUS branded passenger cars in China.
JF Apex Research said Astro launched RAKU — Malaysia’s first personalised radio and music streaming service which is available on personal computers (PCs), tablets and smartphones —and targets to reaching 500,000 active users in six months.
British American Tobacco announced that prices of all its cigarette brands will be revised back to their last pricing before April 1.
Last Friday, US markets declined sharply after changes in China's trading rules that allow more short selling. Similarly, European stocks dropped following concern on Greece's debt negotiations.
“On the local market, the FBM KLCI shed 2.08 points to 1,845.86. Following the bearish sentiment in global markets, we expect the KLCI to be negative today with support at 1,830,” it said.
