In 1997, market didn't drop directly from 1300 to 250. It dropped from 1300 to 1000, you panic and cut lost. It rebounded to 1100, you thought better don't miss the chance, so you jumped in. It then fell to 800, you cut lost again. Then it rebounced to 950, you tempted by the opportunity and rushed in again. And it dropped to 600, you panic and cut lost again.
The cycles kept repeating until you are totally sucked dry. By the time KLCI reached 250, you either run out of bullets or you are numb you didn't bother or dare to do anything
That is 1997 for you.
